How to Use Your Word Processor

Viewing Comments

Most word processors allow you to view comments through menu commands, by double-clicking on the comment icons that appear in the document, or by hovering your mouse over a comment icon until the comment is displayed in a pop-up flag. To view a comment in Microsoft Word, use these techniques:

Insert Comment Menu CommandMenu Commands: If you are using a recent version of Word (XP or later), you can view comments using the VIEW > MARKUP menu command. Comments will appear in the margin of your document. If you are using an older version of Word, you can view comments using the VIEW > COMMENTS menu command. Comments will appear in the Comment box on the bottom of your document.

The Mouse: You can double-click on a comment to open the Comment box. You can also float your cursor over a comment to view it.
