How to Use Your Word Processor

Editing and Deleting Comments

Most word processors allow you to edit or delete comments through main menu or context-sensitive menu commands. To edit or delete a comment in Microsoft Word, use these techniques:

Context-Sensitive MenuIn Recent Versions of Word (XP and Later), Use Context-Sensitive Menu Commands: To edit a comment, hover your mouse over the text that has been commented upon and right click with your mouse. A context-sensitive menu will appear. Select Edit Comment from the menu. You can edit the comment that appears. To delete the comment, choose Delete Comment from the context-sensitive menu.

In Older Versions of Word, Use Main Menu or Context-Sensitive Menu Commands: If you are using an older version of Word, you can view comments using the VIEW > COMMENTS menu command or by using the context-sensitive menu. Comments will appear in the comment window at the bottom of your document.
