How to Search the Web

Conducting a Simple Search: Step 1

In this demonstration, we'll conduct a simple search on Google. If you would like to complete the steps in this demonstration on your own, please visit Google at http://www.google.com and carry out the following steps:

  1. Type censorship in the search field.
  2. Click on the Google Search button beneath the search field.
  3. Click on the Continue button below.

Note: If you click on the I'm Feeling Lucky button, Google takes you directly to the site it deems most relevant to your search. In addition to its basic Web search service, Google also allows you to search images, groups, and directories by clicking on the links located above the search field. You can also conduct an advanced search.
