International Pharmaceutical Abstracts (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, available through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

A database focusing on drug use and production. Uses more than 800 relevant journals from around the world. 300,000 records from 1971 to the present.

MDXHealth (Medical Data Exchange, available through OCLC FirstSearch)

Health and medical database with a focus on a consumer audience. Records from magazines, medical journals, medical schools, hospital publications, and bulletins. More than 29,000 records from 1988 to the present.

MEDLINE (National Library of Medicine, available through OCLC FirstSearch and Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

A general medical database that includes sources in the dentistry and nursing fields. Over 10 million records with bibliographic information and abstracts. Covers 1966 to the present.

PubMed (National Library of Medicine)

Uses MEDLINE as well as other sources to index more than 11 million sources. Links to full-text are provided. Some sources also precede those found in MEDLINE.
