BIOGRAPHY
Kate Gleason’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including Best American Poetry 1997, Boomer Girls, and Yearbook of American Poetry. She has authored two poetry chapbooks: Making As If to Sing (1989) and The Brighter the Deeper (1995). Among many awards, she has received a New Hampshire State Council on the Arts Fellowship (1998), the New Hampshire Writer’s Project Outstanding Emerging Writer Award (1998), and a 1999 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for residency at Ragdale Artist’s Colony. She has served as a poet-in-the-schools and edited Peregrine, a literary journal. She currently teaches creative writing workshops in New Hampshire.
