This example shows how a holistic scoring rubric used by one high-stakes writing test can be transformed into a low-stakes review task. Notice how reviewers are asked to give feedback on specific criteria as well as rate the draft holistically. Becoming familiar with the criteria as well as the holistic ratings as reviewers can help writers understand what is expected of them.
